Starting to really get in the swing of things today. I'm loving the feeling of knowing that it's time to eat again and that my body is efficiently using everything that I put in. Also learning that drinking a gallon of water is not as easy as I thought! Started at 152lb on Day 1 - now clocking in at 149.6. Progress!

  • Meal 1 - Morning Start

Lean Protein: 1/4 cup egg whites
Complex Carb - Starch: 1/2 cup oatmeal
Complex Carb - Fruit or Vegetable: 1/2 c mixed berries
Supplement: 1/2 scoop vanilla whey protein in oatmeal
    Drinks: 1 L water
Other Items: 1 T greek yogurt mixed in oatmeal

Notes: 7AM - I was amazed at how quickly my body burned through all of this food! I have never been an oatmeal fan but this mix is delicious!

  • Meal 2 - Midmorning Booster

Lean Protein: 3oz. roasted turkey breast
Complex Carb - Fruit or Vegetable: 1 small apple
    Drinks: 1/2 L water

    Notes: 10AM

  • Meal 3 - Lunchtime Refuel

Lean Protein: 4oz. grilled chicken breast
Complex Carb - Fruit or Vegetable: 1 1/2 c mixed veggies (green beans, peppers and cucumber)
    Drinks: 1L water
Other Items: 2T dijon mustard - sugar free

Notes: 1PM - ate lunch with my coworker today and preached the clean-eating gospel :)

  • Meal 4 - Mid-afternoon Munch

Lean Protein: 1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder
Complex Carb - Fruit or Vegetable: 1/2 c mixed berries
    Drinks: 1c water

Notes: 5PM - Pre workout fuel

  • Meal 5 - Dinner Delight

Lean Protein: 4 oz. roasted turkey breast
Complex Carb - Starch: 1/2 plain potato

Well - that's great to hear! I hope so too! I'm following the Cooler 1 plan from EC Recharged and making comparable substitutes when I need to. Like sweet potatoes - Yuck!!!

I agree with you on the sweet potatoes! Someone was telling me that I have to follow the meal plan exactly and I can't do that. I was understanding that I could make comparable substitutes also. Thanks for the post. I was having a hard time finding anything on this.

Day 7 of the Cooler 1 EC plan, have lost 5 pounds so far! The diet is strict but well worth it, I am just looking forward to day 15 so I can try some of the other great recipies. It's great to know that others are keeping it strict at the same time.

  • Best ever Protein Pancakes

I don't have time every morning to cook my eggs, oatmeal, etc. so I pop these babies in the microwave for 40 seconds and I'm out the door, with a clean and nutritional breakfast. All ingredients can be altered with little or no effect on the structure of the pancake :) They're not only delicious, but can be altered to your liking!

  • Tomato and Cottage Cheese Snack Crackers

I am always looking for ways to spice up my in between snacks. This is one of my favorite and easiest recipes especially during the summer when jersey tomatoes are so fresh and loaded with tons of juicy flavor!!

  • Swiss Muesli

This recipe has been printed in Oxygen magazine a few times and I absolutely love it. I switch up the fruit I add, depending on the season. A couple of days ago I made it with fresh peaches and blueberries. I love that it has cinnamon - great for regulating insulin. It makes a ton so even though the recipe says 2 servings I split it into 3. Perfect for those busy weeks when you just need to wake up and have breakfast waiting for you.

  • Clean Tartar sauce

Tonight for supper i made haddock and asparagus. I knew my boyfriend would want something with his haddock since he doesn't love fish in the first place, but i didnt have the heart to make a tartar sauce made with yucky old mayo. Soooo, i came up with this and to tell you the truth, i just loved it!
